Why I Do What I Do

If somone had told me almost 29 years ago that I would be a personal injury lawyer I would have probably punched them in the throat. There was no way I would stoop so low.  I knew the perception of those lawyers.  Ambulance chasing immoral or amoral bottom feeders.  That is what I thought I knew.

 

Fast forward 29 years.  I have been practing personal injury law exclusively almost 20 years now.  I have to admit that it is the most satisfying area I have practiced in.  Why?  Because I get to help people who truly need it.  If somone is hurt they have to go up against an opponent with all of the resources in the world. An opponent who is a for profit monster of an industry.  I am speaking of course of the insurance companies.  The insurance companies sole job is to maximize profit.  Profits are not maximized if you are compensated fairly.  That is the simple and unmistakable truth.

 

It doesn't matter if you are hurt in Nevada, Oregon or Washington (all states I am licensed in and proud to say I represent clients in).  If you are hurt because someone ran a red light or failed to maintain a safe property, you are facing an uphill battle.  But, that is where we come in.  To help you and to stand next to you in this quest.

 

In Las Vegas, Portland, Vancouver (and other cities as well) if you are hurt you have a choice of a number of very good lawyers and lawfirms to represent you.  I like to think my firm is in that group.  We have had some great success over the years on small cases, large cases, and all cases inbetween.  I think what sets us a part is that I truly love what I do.  I love the intellectual challange involved in my cases. I love the strategy. I love learning and knowing the medicine involved. Most of all, I love getting a great result for my client.  I take great pride in seeing the stress lifted off of my clients' shoulders when I tell them we have been able to farily settle their case. I love seeing the look of confidence they have when I tell them we are ready to go to trial and they know I mean it.  I guess in short I just love being able to help people in situations that they just can't help themselves.
